it takes a great and rare skill to make a compelling and gripping film that holds you for so long, without paying attention to any of the 'rules' of film-making. the coen brothers are masters of this, and 'no country..' is no different. fine performances for all the cast and a genuinely unpredictable turn of events. amazing to see a two hour movie with no score or soundtrack whatsoever. but still works. excellent.9/10
