i thought this was going to be another film that didn't do justice to the book but this is an instant classic to rival full metal jacket, and propels sam mendes into the league of directors that includes kubrick and ridley scott. every frame in this film tells a thousand stories and gyllenhaal is fricken awesome in this. hoo-ar.
