do you know what? i really enjoyed this actually, so shut up. there's nowt wrong with the occasional ITV adaptation. i mean, i haven't read the book or even seen the original film so i've no idea how closely this kept to the source material but i don't think that matters. yes, there were some very silly bits. yes, your ability to suspend belief is downright thrashed all the way through. but who cares? it was entertaining for 90 minutes, and if someone can suggest something else that's fun and lasts 90 minutes i'd be well up for giving it a go.this little filmy-wilmy is a bit like watching an older brother be indiana jones. in the norfolk broads. in the rain.
